Biography
Carmen Ferrando is a contemporary painter based in Spain, specialized in oil on linen seascapes. She began painting in oils at the age of three alongside her father, and later trained at several art schools in Alicante. She also holds a degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Digital Marketing, building a unique professional profile that bridges creativity and strategy.
Carmen’s artistic work focuses on Mediterranean light, translating its transparency, depth, and movement onto canvas. Her paintings capture the ephemeral beauty of the sea and the peaceful emotional connection it evokes.
She has exhibited in New York, Paris, Miami, Brussels, Athens, Madrid, Basel and Munich. Currently, she is represented by Agora Gallery (New York) and Castelló 4 Gallery (Madrid), with permanent exhibitions in both.
Carmen’s work invites viewers to stand at the shoreline and experience a real “window to the sea” — to feel the salt in the air, the shimmer of sunlight on water, and the quiet presence of nature’s vastness.
Artist Statement
Painting is my way of feeling the world. The sun’s reflections on the sea, the translucent energy of the Mediterranean, and the delicate strength of each wave inspire my process. Every piece is born from emotion and evolves with it — it is a journey towards harmony, serenity and light
